Halloween Candy
During open hours in the month of October, the Unadilla Community Food Pantry hosts a Halloween Candy Drive & Giveaway to help ensure children served by the pantry can join in the fun and excitement of Halloween—regardless of financial circumstance. For many families, costumes and candy can be a stretch during tough times, and we believe every child deserves to enjoy the magic of the season.
Thanks to generous donations from local residents, schools, and businesses, we are able to collect individually wrapped candy and small treats. Then we distribute festive candy bags to pantry families with children. These bags are filled with a variety of goodies and packaged with care by our volunteers.
When possible, we also share candy bags with pantry families, helping them join in the joy of handing out treats to neighborhood trick-or-treaters.
